Job Summary:

This role will support our transportation and infrastructure practice and will focus on design and construction contract compliance, capital project management, , inspections, safety and security certifications, quality management, grant funding, project controls and processes, maintenance and other compliance related types of assessments for all modes of transportation capital development including airports, bridges/highways, and rail.

Qualification and Job Requirements:

  • Applicant should have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in public transportation
  • Review inspection and quality management plans
  • Review project and construction management plans
  • Conduct on-site visits and data collection
  • Review changes to project scope, schedule, and risks
  • Conduct on-site monitoring of DBE participation
  • Perform compliance reviews of DBE commercially useful function inclusion
  • Awareness of typical preliminary and operational hazards associated with rail transit
  • Understanding of typical FAA and FTA grant funding
  • General understanding of rail transit safety and security, state safety oversight, maintenance and operations, and rule compliance
  • Conduct quality control for scope assignments, written materials and reports
  • Prepare and give presentation to senior management, community members, stakeholders and policy makers on project progress, current status and recommendations
  • Applicant is generally knowledgeable of the construction industry, contract compliance and federal contracting
  • Understanding of overall project execution, including budgeting, project forecasting, cost control, schedule, and anticipated cost
  • Support preparation of audit reports and memorandums for internal and/or external use
  • Able to work independently, with some oversight and in a team environment displaying initiative and independent thinking
  • Must have a good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, planning, transit operations or related field required
